J&J Ford Becomes J&J Choice:

Terra Alta, W.Va. -- Barry Kirk, President of J&J Ford Sales, announced today that he is introducing a new business venture in Preston County . The business’ official name is J&J Choice Pre-Owned Automotive, Inc.

“The unveiling of this all-new operation marks a very exciting time at J&J. The prospect of a pre-owned superstore available in our market has endless possibilities. Our purpose in going forward is to provide our customers not only with a choice regarding selection and quality, but also in affordability,” Kirk said.

Kirk and his staff believe this endeavor answers strongly to those market demands. Once the inventory is at full capacity, customers will have over 120 prime vehicles of all makes and models from which to choose, thus the new name, J&J Choice. Their new motto: Choice Means Select and Choice Means Selection.

In conjunction with his announcement, Kirk described the status of his Ford dealership by stating, “On October 6th, we entered into an agreement with Scott Ford of Kingwood and Shaffer Ford of Oakland , and they have purchased our Ford Motor Company territory in which we have sold and serviced new Ford products.”

Kirk said that his decision came after much prayer and discussion with his family. He stated, “Parting with a business that has been such a significant element of our lives does not come easily, nor do we take it lightly. But, contrary to many rumors that have surfaced, the decision was our choice.” Kirk emphasized, “We are not being forced out by Ford. We are not bankrupt. We are not going out of business. J&J is alive and well, and our new slogan says it best: It’s a New Day at J&J.”

Although Scott and Shaffer have both been J&J’s fierce and formidable competitors through the years, Kirk said, “We have utmost respect for them. They have genuinely been a pleasure to have constructed this deal with.” J&J will heartily recommend new Ford buyers to Scott and Shaffer, while wishing them all the best. “We will fully cooperate with them and our previous customers in every possible way,” said Kirk.

The presence of complete, very experienced sales and service staffs will give J&J a new dealership feel with pre-owned prices and variety. While their new emphasis is now pre-owned sales and service, the J&J staff will still be available to help give direction to any who have questions or needs concerning their Ford vehicles.
